water your fish live in. Contents are sufficient for 50
Ammonia, 50 Nitrite, 50 Oxygen, 50 Chlorine/Chlorimine
and 50 pH tests.
By regularly testing your Ammonia, Oxygen and Nitrite
levels you can make sure that your filter system is in
tip top condition and is capable of removing any excess
waste that could be caused by overfeeding. Ensuring your
pond always has the correct Ammonia, Oxygen and Nitrite
levels will also help to make your fish more resistant
to disease and help ensure top quality colour definition.
The Chlorine/Chlorimine test is critical when filling
your pond for the first time or when topping up with tap
water.
If your pond is constantly experiencing high ph levels
this can be buffered by adding pond peat. If, however,
your pond is frequently experiencing high ammonia and/or
nitrite levels this indicates a poorly operating
filtration system. This may need servicing and bump
starting with filter primer. It is possible that your
fish may have outgrown the filtration system. How much
